GOOD WORKS #6

Spend at least three hours giving service outside your family. Ask your ward or branch Relief Society president or a community leader for suggestions for service. For example, you might take care of children while parents attend the temple; collect, make, or recondition toys or games for a nursery; accept an assignment to clean the meetinghouse; or perform errands for or read to a homebound person or others in need. Record in your journal the reactions of the person you served and possible goals for future service opportunities.

Those of you who have taken an opportunity to help the Sister in our ward with her children can sign this off if you helped her for 3 hours.
If you haven't taken an opportunity to sign up to help please do or choose another act of service you can perform for 3 hours there are some suggestions above. Once you have completed your service record in your journal the reactions of those you served and possible goals for future service opportunities.

Virtue #3
Prepare to be worthy to enter the temple and to participate in temple ordinances. Read Alma chapter 5. Make a list of the questions Alma asks. Answer the questions for yourself, and make a list of the things you can and will do to prepare yourself to be pure and worthy to enter the temple and receive all the blessings our Heavenly Father has promised His beloved daughters.

Today we are going to read Alma Chapter 5 and while doing so write down the questions Alma asks. That’s all for today we will finish up tomorrow!!

individual worth

Individual Worth #4
You are preparing now to fulfill a unique mission on the earth. Read Doctrine and Covenants 88:119. In your journal make a list of your hopes and dreams for your future home, family, and education and some important things you would like to accomplish in your life, including becoming a wife and mother. Then write a plan that will help you achieve your goals. Share this plan with a family member, leader, or friend.

This can all be accomplished today. Spend a few minutes reading D&C 88:119 then write in your journal a list of your hopes and dreams for your future. Include some important things you would like to accomplish in your life including being a wife and mother. Write a plan to help you achieve your goals and share your plan with a parent, leader, or friend.

Today is the last day for Divine Nature #2 so if you have worked on the qualities of being a wife and mother report your success to a parent or leader and you are finished and can pass it off with your leaders.

Good Works, young women values

This week we are going to start off with this experience as it is good timing to go with Invitation Sunday this next week the 19th. The Bishop has asked that we all invite someone to attend church with us this coming week so this is the perfect opportunity to accomplish an assignment from the Bishop as well as a personal progress goal.

Good Works #7

Through your good works, others will see your example and may want to know more about the gospel. Pray for a missionary experience. Read Matthew 24:14; 28:19; and Doctrine and Covenants 88:81. Invite a friend who is not a member of the Church or one who is less active to go with you to a Church meeting or activity. Introduce your friend to others, and make sure he or she is involved. Share your testimony of the gospel, and invite him or her to come again.

Read the scriptures Matthew 24:14; 28:19, and D&C 88:81. Start today by praying for a missionary experience and asking who the Lord would have you invite to our Invitation Sunday. This may be a non-member or an in-active member. Think about it and pray about it for the next couple of days then make a decision and take your invitation to the person you choose so they will have enough time to plan to attend with you on Sunday!!

If you were able to do something to help lift someone's burden last week you have finished Good Works #3 so pass it off with your leaders!!

A thirst for knowledge. One thing John Lox said that was true, if not useful.

KNOWLEDGE #1
Learn about the importance of gaining knowledge by reading Proverbs 1:5; 4:7; 2 Nephi 28:30; and Doctrine and Covenants 88:78–80, 118; 90:15; 130:18–19; 131:6. Think about why you need to gain knowledge and understanding about how to apply gospel principles to your present and future home and family life. Write in your journal what you have learned about knowledge, and discuss it with a family member or Young Women leader.

Read through the 11 verses of scripture above and write in your journal what you have learned about knowledge. Take a little time to sit down with a family member or YW leader and discuss what you have learned.

This is completed pass it off with your leaders. Awesome Job!!
